Help me with my first build!

Building a computer has been something I've wanted to do for a very long time but I've never had the balls to do it. I've decided to sell my iMac and replace it with a custom built system for roughly £750.

I've done some research in the store and this is the list of components I have come up with. Obviously, I'm no expert so any advice and inspiration will be extremely helpful. I have a couple of questions too, but I'll put them at the bottom of this post.

Cooler Master Gladiator RC-600 Case - Black
Asus P7P55D-E Intel P55 (Socket 1156) DDR3 Motherboard
Kingston HyperX Genesis Grey 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit
OcUK GeForce GTX 570 1280MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB SATA-II 32MB Cache - OEM
LG GH22NP21 22x DVD±RW IDE ReWriter (Black) - OEM
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE 7.1 Sound Card - OEM
Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - Retail
Corsair Enthusiast Series TX 650W V2 High Performance '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply

Questions:

  • Will the case be large enough for the motherboard/graphics card?
  • Is a sound card really worth it? I like listening to music, but I'm not a complete audiophile. Will the onboard sound be enough?
  • Do I need a larger power supply? I've been given conflicting answers to this question from friends, one says more than enough, the other says get 1000W.
  • Will I need to buy any additional fans/cables?
  • Can you suggest any better parts than those I've chosen?
  • Have I missed any parts out?

Thank you for reading, look forward to hearing your input.

Yes.

Dont need a sound card.

Not for a single GTX570, if you want SLI then a 750w+ PSU is needed.

Will I need to buy any additional fans/cables?

No.

The main issue with your build is the motherboard is incompatible with the CPU.

This is your build. Fixed.
