Help me with the choice between X570 boards

I'm looking for a board which will last me a good 5 years, and will support a 4000 when they come around. Was waiting for B550 to come out, but they just don't seem competetive at the moment. WiFi is a bonus but far from essential. Budget around £200 but flexible.

My basket at Overclockers UK:
  • Given the current sales the Aorus Elite and Edge WiFi both look competetive.
  • The TUF seems pretty sexy, but it looks like the chipset cooler will sit right under the GPU.
  • The Tomahawk might be a given, but for the fact it might spend months on preorder, given how popular it is.
Is there anything that might weigh my choice in any direction on those - anything technical I might not know, or reliability issues? Or would anyone suggest another board in that price range?

Many thanks.

I've got lots of Tomahawk due any day now. The delivery is in the country but the forwarder that MSI are using aren't great for communication.

oooh, pls let us know any ETA on the Tomahawks ScottiB. First etailer with stock gets my order.

Gaming Edge's power circuitry is pretty much garbage for money.
Half of MSI's X570 range has B450 copypasta level VRM and Tomahawk is only cheaper one with proper VRM.

And Asus has 15 year old bad chipset cooling:
  • Actual heatsink under marketing covers is really small. >
  • It relies on constant airflow from constantly running small fan. >
  • And everything is in the worst possible place directly under graphics card enjoying pre-heated air.
So with high heat output graphics card chipset runs hot and when fan wears out it might overheat fast.
While chipset cooler of Gigabyte is capable to mostly semi-passive cooling assumnig you have working case cooling.

Well, that's just "information society" for you:
Information doesn't move.:p
Already knowing size of shipment would be luxury.

I ordered mine Tuesday because the guy on the phone told me 100 were expected on or after the 10th and that there was 51 on pre order. I ordered one on the back of this information from the sales team. Some confirmation of this would be appreciated

Thanks, that's just the sort of info I was looking for.
Case is well cooled, so you suggest the Aorus or Tomahawk?

Good to know - are we talking enough to fulfil the current pre-orders and still have plenty of stock?
In other words, if I pre-order today, can I expect fulfilment in this batch?

If you have any need for Wifi, then Tomahawk is definite winner for what it has for it's price.
But if you don't need Wifi and want to trim budget here and there, Aorus Elite is very balanced package including overkill VRM for any stock CPU and also comes with USB BIOS Flashback for easy BIOS updates in any situation.

Slightly over your budget but I’ve been impressed with the Asus X570 Prime Pro. It’s a very solid board, excellent vrm + low temperature, and it has my 3950X boosting higher than my previous Asus Crosshair WiFi did and that’s £150+ more expensive.

Mine arrived this morning. Here's hoping it's as badass as expected.
Sadly the CPU doesn't arrive until the 16th :(
Do let us know how you get on mate.
Mine arrived yesterday, will build tomorrow.
Just finished upgrading my B550 ITX so need a break :)
