try student loans company - most students take out a loan, they can provide you all the details you need on areas etc, dont think they can tell about dropouts/leavers though.

maybe local education authorities in different areas.

student loan company is a good idea for some present stats but I wouldnt mind findin some on University attendance for previous generations, such as 50s and 70s and they didnt do loans in them days. I can draw up comparisons then. Thanks.
