help messed up graphics!!

Hi i run vista and an x1800xt. Had the card about 6 months no problems until now.

Yesterday I installed c&c the 1st decade and some visuals where messed up in the original c&c, I come back into windows to find 'snow' appearing on white backgrounds or some pixels randoly flashing wierd colours. I go back o nthe original c&c and all is good now.

Im assuming 1st decade has fubared my graphics settings??? as there are no anomolies except on white backgrounds and none until vista has fully loaded.

Ive tried reinstalling 7.2, and fully unisntalling and reinstalling 7.1 drivers, no change.

EDIT: just un-installed c&c 1st decade no help! im assuming a format will solve problems as always but was it c&c that caused the messup? wow is also affected so I assume all games will be

psu is the 450w dual rail one from the sonata2
everything was good until i used 1st decade and it was all screwed up gfx wise, then next time i play it (after a reset) c&c is fine and desktop is screwed. i checked the desktop its stil 32bit color. looks like il be using xp again.....
at 1st i thought vista was great as its fast and generally better, but my nero/norton/a few games from my collection dont work. very annoying!!
