Just went bang

Was an dell 2407 wfp now looking for a good 24" to 27" for gaming willing to pay around £300 (don't tell the wife)

Please spec me

Thanks

OK find capacitor and replace doesn't sound to bad any tips?

Depends what you mean by "went bang". Actual 'bang/pop' noise, or just not turning on anymore?

Am I allowed to post a link to Overclock.net? If you do a Google search for "Samsung 226BW flickers for a few minutes when powering on" the thread will come up. First page describes replacing the caps on a Samsung 226BW. This is more for a monitor just not turning on any more due to leaking caps. If there was an actual bang/pop it might be a bit more serious.

Only posting this because my 226BW has the exact same problem, and I need to get around to doing the same soon :/
