HELP ! MP4 or MOV to WMV converter needed

I am in an urgent need of a MP4/MOV to WMV converter (free), handbrake doesn't do it, what else can i use?

MOST grateful for you guy's help!

I've been told you can just rename the file extension.. do a copy of the file and see what happens.

The mov? Or mp4?

I need the file to be played in windows that does not have Quick Time installed you see, so it needs to be a native windows format.

I can't remember which ones it's supposed to work with, just give it a go, can't do any harm.

Also, if Windows Live Movie maker will work with mov/mp4, that exports as .wmv

My windows machine is dead as a dodo at the moment...might have to resort to m netbook when I get home (on the train now).

Does iMovie not export WMV? I looked all over in it but can't see the option.

The clip is originally created in iMovie for a PowerPoint presentation, but in windows!

I have never used iMovie so can't say. If the video is to be played on a Windows PC then I would suggest trying .avi . I have had serious headaches and near shameful embarrassment using .wmv files in a powerpoint.

Thanks Kawolski, I managed fo convince IT to grant privileges to install programs so they are going to put QT player, makes life so much simplier instead of faffing with this conversion.
