Hi, I need help from someone in the know!

I am wanting to install ms office 2000 standard version full retail on wts, and buy 3-5 retail packs for the licenses.

I have been told that I can do this by our bespoke software/hardware provider that maintains our Unix server.

I have contacted MS UK but they are very sketchy on it and are saying I need an open license to use office on an ts; is this true?

They were trying to get me to get office 2007, but I want 2000 due to the low overheads and costing.

Thanks

Daz

Thanks for your input, the reason I wanted to buy retail is that I can get them a lot cheaper and also they use less resources from out unix server to the wts etc.

I have tried office 2007 and I really hated it.

If you have a 2007 licence it will cover a 2000 install, as we use Office XP on our TS farms, and just buy 2007 licence as and when
