Help my computer keeps freezing.

Memory RAM Elixir PC2 6400u 555 1GB x4

My computer keeps freezing and showing Overclocking failed error.
This started when my onboard battery failed and I replaced it. I think it may have reset some of the settings.

A friend suggested that the voltage to the RAM memory may need resetting but I have looked at the BIOS and cannot see how to change this voltage.

Any help or ideas would be great.

I'd reset bios settings to default. bios usually tells you which key it is to press.
