Help my ethernet lan has stopped working

I tried to install an print server (netgear ps110). I couldn't get that to work so I uninstalled it now my internet doesn't work either :confused:

I'm using a Homeplug router which works on another computer. So everything works up until it enters my ethernet port :confused:

Please help !

You using DHCP or static IP addressing?

I don't know ?? I've a static Ip from Demon

looks like the computer that works uses dhcp :confused:

Try disabiling/enabling it see if that cures it.

we need to know more about your network setup. are you using a router? or direct connection into your pc via modem?

Where does your network card connect to, does it go into a router/switch or what?

I've a homeplug modem router gateway and the rj45 cable goes straight out of that into my lan port on my computer (built in on sv266a motherboard http://www.syntaxgroups.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=44_47&products_id=95)

And is the router acting as a DHCP server (i.e. distributing IP's to clients)?

looks like you have lost connection to your router!!
try rebooting your router. check al your connections between the router and pc!!
