Help my friend find a new GPU!

Hey guys,My friend has a 5850 and plays Crysis 3,He see's 20-30FPS on med settings with low AA.He says it runs "Smooth" For him,
He saw a graphic comparison video and can't really see the difference between med and max with AA.I tell it him it's so much more impressive in person and he won't listen and he's not convinced that he needs a upgrade.
I know this sounds stupid but any input and help would be great!
In my opinion he needs a upgrade any pointers to give me to tell him update his damn card!
He says if he does upgrade his budget will be £200
I say 7870XT

could always pick up a second 5850 on the cheap

If it is nice and new GPU you want, the 7870 XT is an excellent one, but for £220 i would also throw in the GTX 660TI for about the same performance, as an alternative.

I have a standard 7870 (None XT) this is the minimum FPS i get on Hight and Very High http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?p=23869763&postcount=461

The 7870 XT is faster than my none XT.

They do perform very well, its even playable at maxed GFX setting with all AA off

Agree, for £200 the 7870xt is very hard to beat. If you require Nvidia 'extras' then the 660 or Ti is the way to go. XT is better value in my opinion.
