Help! My gpu...

Hi there I just wanted to clean my computer today and I notice two oil like spots on my gpu. I think it may be corsair h100i leaking but I inspected it and this doesn't seems to be a case it isn't wet anywhere or oily. My gpu is working fine but I'm just worried. Is it safe to put paper towel on my gpu while I use my computer for gaming to see if it's h100i leaking?

Here it's a pic. Btw it doesn't look like that now I cleaned it with air duster and some isopropyl alcohol as it was oily.

Yup, that has leaked at some point.

Run with a bit of kitchen towel on the backplate for 24-48 hours and check again

Safe to use a paper towel yes but keep an eye on it.

As for it leaking, its hard to say really. See what the towel reveals.

Is that under the VRMs? just looks like the VRMs might have got a bit toasty to me.

I dont know I never touched my system with overclocking gpu, only cpu. I got 3 intake fans running at 1150 rpm and 3 exhaust at 1000 so there is sufficient airflow plus my gpu never went above 77 celcius degree on core, not sure about vram.

Just out of interest what is inside h100i? I saw some people with leaks who had oily like spots.

I will keep paper tower for 2 days and I will check regulary for any leaks if there arent any I dont know what could it be as card never had artefacted, only in gta 5 when raining from time to time but I reinstalled the game and it's all fine now.

12 hours and no leaks so far. I really hope it's the h100i as otherwise I have no idea what it may be

I Think that the liquid they used in the corsair coolers non conductive ? i may be wrong though as it can become conductive over time .

24 hours of computer running and no leaks. What the hell?! The spots on gpu were oily like. Any suggestion on what to do?

Could have been oil from assembly of the corsair.

Yes they are all filled with non conductive fluid. Don't think they always were...risk mitigation of claims. Sensible for both company and consumer.
