hehe

My NAD C541i CD player's display seems to have a dry joint or some such - it only works after the CD player has warmed up for a couple of minutes.

Any ideas on whether I can fix this myself or where the problem might lie?

It's not a biggie (hehe how many puns can one post contain?!) just annoying.

does sound like a dry joint but there are going to be that may that i would say unless you are gifted in that department, get it done proffessionally.

oh, and about your NADs, i think you need to see a doctor mate, there should not be a display at all on them :D

Just leave it "turned on", so ya nad's are ready for action at any time !!!

who needs a display on a cd player anyway?

I'd take it apart.

I have a NAD cd player and the lcd backlight doesn't work. Common fault apparently. Can't be bothered fixing it and you can still see the display. (if you look really closely), besides, I like the stealth look.
