hi im currently on the lookout for a new build,i have already got the ram but need cpu/mobo/psu/gfx card i have about £750 to play with

my original thoughts was

icore 7 2011 3820

MSI X79A-GD45 (8D) Intel X79 (Socket 2011) DDR3 Motherboard

MSI GeForce GTX 660 OC Twin Frozr 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card

Silverstone Strider 1200W Modular '80 Plus Gold' Power Supply

i mainly play bf3 and a bit of wow,but prob other games in the future

are these a good choice or can anyone suggest something better in my price range,i could go a little higher on price for the right stuff :D

cheers

ive had my heart set on a i7 tho for sometime,my last rig was a overclocked icore3 so wanted a bigger jump,it wouldnt be just used for gaming i do some video converting/photoshop too and i opted for the gtx660 so i could sli in the future without breaking the bank

sorry to bother u guys again but i want to place my order tomorow and its getting to close to xmas and the kids lists are getting bigger and my bank balance smaller :D

@ rjc and stinger ive had a quick rethink and tho i will be using photshop and some vid converting,it will only be only every so often i do it but more gaming, how would the items you suggested fair up against my 1st post if i choose the cpu/gpu and mobo as i already got 16gig of hyperx and a akasa venom cooler ready,as i would pref to get 1 good gfx card than sli gtx660 in the future

i will stick with my selection of psu as its either the one listed or the ocz series 1000 as i would like the extra power incase i feel like testing the water cooling path

cheers

I have a custom water cooled pc (cpu only) and i7 2700k overclocked to 4.4ghz with several hard drives and the Gigabyte 670 WF card I pull 330w from the mains at full load, so a 1200w or 1000w is major overkill.

Link below shows a rough performance comparison between your cpu and the 2500k (but add approx 10% to the performance figures for the 3570k).
