Help Name a Game

Ok i remember a long time ago i used to play this game at my uncles

It was set in the future, in space(of course) and was kind of a space sim if you will. It mainly consisted of travelling between planets and talking to different people and had a lot of FMV's and when you talked to people it was in FMV as you made choices(what to say).

Between planets you would pilot a ship and could end up battling pirates, you were able to upgrade you ship. There was also a lot of trading in the game between you and the other characters.

I also remember the main character(you, a guy) was a pretty hard boiled kinda guy, like Max Payne.

Anyway, good luck, its a really old game.

Star Trek: Borg

Never actually played it, but seen my cousin playing it for a few minutes. It was all in FMV. That help?

It wasn't one of the Wing Commander series was it?

Im going mainly on the fmv sequences you mention, I cant really remember how the game played as such but I do remember playing Wing commander 3 or 4 simply to get to watch the next fmv peice as it was really well made, Mark Hammel of Star Wars actually played one of the roles.
