Help! Need a room in Milan for Friday, Saturday & Sunday!

Hey guys,

Managed to snag a mint deal of a flight for me and mrs this weekend to Milan.

Urgently need to find a reasonably priced hotel (don't want to spend more than around £300 for the both of us inclusive. Any good places to look?

Have you been to Milan before? Not that I want to spoil your fun, but it is one the dirtiest, smelliest cities I've ever been to.

That aside, I usually stay at The Mediterrano or The Major, both of which are near Porta Romano. To be honest, I can't remember the price but Milan is by no means a cheap city to stay in.

You'll have plenty of good places to eat though, if you like fish then either go to Da Leo or Del Pescatore (walking distance from the hotels I mentioned). For fantastic traditional Italian food, go south from the hotels over the railway tracks (you can't miss them) turn right into Via Brembo then take the 3rd left into Via Arcivescovo Calabiana and a short way down on your left is Taverna Calabiana. I always eat there when I go to Milan.
