I need advice, my son has broken yet another gaming chair
he is 6'9" (last time we measured him and still growing) and a hefty 130kg
he has been going through refurbished office chairs every six months and complaining of back pain but for Easter his sister bought him a gaming chair. Two weeks ago the brackets holding the back of the chair sheered off, when we went back to the shop it had closed but we think it is where he leans back in it putting pressure at the wrong angle.
i want to buy him a good chair that will last at least a year that is tall enough and will hold his weight comfortably.
is there anyone else out there in the yeti size that can give me suggestions, my budget is up to £350
Thanks

You need something designed for tall people as well as heavy people. Ultimately you will need to try before you buy.

You might also consider something completely different: a kneeling chair.

No good for driving and flight sims, of course!

Have already threatened to saw his legs off if he keeps growing but he just ignores me and grows!

SecretLab Titan 2020? - dont go up to his weight range

The Bariatic chair we have had similar reconditioned but he is too tall for it and hunches over and complains his back hurts

Most of the chairs I see online only go up to 6'4" max which puts the support in the wrong position

Noblechairs Hero are rated to 180KG and well suited to larger users. I use one and I'm only 6ft and 14 stone, but it's easily fine for way bigger users too. On the top height gas chair setting, it should be fine and plenty big and strong enough for your son.

What about something like this?

I know there's similar chairs out there like this, could be worth having a look around and seeing if there's any with some user reviews.

My son is 6' 2 and chubby, he tried this chair and found it comfy but one of the arms sheered off very quickly as he uses it for gaming and they are designed for more sedate office workers haha Am probably going to buy one of those with the adjustable lumber cushion, where you can adjust it by altering the straps. Liked the Arozzi Verona but only takes a person up to 105kg, sometimes though, office furniture stores have good chairs for heavier people as their executive type range. The Noblechairs look good and take the weight.
