help....need new psu! whats best!

hey my psu blew today! .......i plugged in my ipod and itunes froze a couple of times so i rebooted,well it hung at the boot screen then just went off...........

so i left it a few mins and switched back on but nothing only the light on the keyboard comes on so there is some power there.........

also my ipod has gone on one!.........the screen is still lit and it says "do not disconnect" and its frozen and thats 6 hours after the event!

so either my ipod has ruined the psu in the computer or the other way round!

so i was wondering what new psu should i get for my computer!

i have a athlon 3800 x2

asus a8n-sli premium mb

the power supply thats blown is a antec truepower 2.0 550w

i know its gone because the control panel that fits above the dvd is not lit
yet the backlight on my keyboard is lit!

so does any one have any decent suggestions for a new psu

and also any ideas how to get my ipod going again ive only had it a few weeks

and the psu 9 months!

any help would be appreciated!

Well the psu will be under warranty so either RMA it or take it back to where you bought it for a replacement. Unusual for one of those to let go though as Antec make a fine psu.

Don't know about the Ipod as i don't (and will never) have one. That will also be under warranty though so the same action applies.

yeh im sorry i got the ipod its rubbish!.....i wanted it to watch video but the screens to small and its a nightmare getting music and films on!......the archos 604 that i got later kicks its ass!
