Hi Guys,

Looking to build a desktop soon.

I don't need the following:
case
2tb samsung f4
OS
keyboard mouse

Can someone spec me a computer around the Intel Core i5-ivy
needs to be low power consumption. A decent graphics card that doesn't draw 190watts but still performs well.

Ideally want the following
8gb ram
hdmi graphics card
all in one cpu cooler like corsair h60
decent power supply like between 500-600w
cheap 22inch monitor.

budget is £500-550

thanks

Monitor doesn't have HDMI. A few of the above items are on this week only offer so will expire at 9am tomorrow morning. Doesn't include a all in one H2O cooler as it takes it significantly over budget.

im liking this build, dont think anyone can top this, plus has ability to upgrade gfx, cooler etc if needed

i've had to make a few sacrifices due to budget. I need something with future prospects of upgrade-ability of GPU and CPU. when I managed to get some more money later this year say december.

I have come up with this build. Can someone give their feedback and input.
I do need a decent motherboard z77 chipset, which one ? is good value for money and good spec. Is the one i have chosen ok

build is a work in progress

As far as I can tell its fine. If you are upgrading the CPU soon you could get away with using http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CP-401-IN&groupid=701&catid=6&subcat=2037 which is cheaper, which then results into less money lost since you could buy a better one in December. Same with GPU.

But other than that little niggle it all looks decent, providing you will upgrade the CPU soon of course^^

that makes sense. which gpu would you recommend for time being which is cheap for around the £50.

i will make a major update on cpu and gpu in december, hopefully i can splash out on some nice gear then

If you can I would stick with the G530 and 6850. Getting a new £50 GPU just for a short period of time would be a total waste imo. You could look at picking up a second hand 5770 for around that price then in December sell it one for little or no loss. The problem with any new £50-60 GPUs is their resale value will be very low as their just not desirable as gaming video cards.
