Hi,

I used to have hair but having torn it out am now bald :(

I am having issues in WOW.

Randomly my WOW will lock up. If I leave it (don't touch anything) eventually the screen reverts to VGA and an error dialog comes up saying NV4_Disp.dll has stopped responding.

I've got the 163 drivers installed although it has been happening on previous versions.

The machine is an AMD 3200 Athlon 64, 1GB Corsair DDR, nForce 4.

Strangely if I run nTune it says the Voltage of my CPU and RAM is red and being stressed?

Any ideas?

What voltage does it show for CPU Mem?

Are you overclocked?

What are temperatures like (Rivatuner)

Have you checked for a build up of dust on the GPU and CPU heatsinks?

Did you use uninstall the old drivers and use drivercleaner before reinstalling ?

Hi

CPU Voltage 1.55v
Mem Voltage 2.6v
Temps are low around 50 for CPU and 41 for GPU. I use an Akasa cooler on the CPU and the stock Cooler of the 7800.
I am not overclocking at all.
No dust is present on the heatsinks.
I did not use drivecleaner before reinstalling that's one I didn't do.

Regards, Jenz

It's worth unistalling the display driver, rebooting into safe mode, running drivercleaner to remove any remaining driver fragments.

Reboot, cancel the windows auto hardware install.

Run the Nvidia driver installation and then see how that goes
