Hello guys, wondering if you could help me please, I previously posted regarding my choice on 2 laptops, though I've found another 2 possible solutions that I'm really stuck with. I'll list the specs for both laptops and wondering if you could help me choose please. The purpose of the laptop will be gaming and nothing more apart from compressing videos of gameplay.

Laptop A
17.3" Octane III
1920 X 1080 ips screen + Gsync
Intel core i5-6600k desktop cpu
Nvidia geforce GTX 980 Desktop
16gb DDR4 hyperX ram 2133mhz
2tb HDD 5400rpm
1 x 330 watt power supply
128gb samsung sm951 m.2 SSD
£1618

Or I've got laptop B
17.3" Defiance III
1920 x 1080 ips screen NO G-sync
intel core i7-6700hq
Nvidia geforce GTX 1070
16gb DDR4 hyperX ram 2133mhz
1 tb WD black HDD 7200rpm x 2
128gb samsung sm951 m.2 SSD
230 watt power supply
£1656

Now looking at both laptops, laptop A offers much better cooling as it is a bigger unit in general as can be seen just by googling, can't name website due to no competitors. Laptop A has the weaker gpu, but the 6600k has quite the advantage on single core performance and can be overclocked and G-sync, Laptop B has the GTX 1070 but in general will run much hotter, will the i7-6700hq beat the i5? bearing in mind I'm intending to keep this laptop for at least 4 years. so will the HT on the i7 beenfit me in the future?
with laptop A I can get a 1070 for £1847 which is just short of £200 extra for a much better laptop imo or will the desktop 980 suffice? cheers :)

I would get laptop A and pay 200 more for the 1070, Gsync wins it for me, 980 is not good enough to keep for 4 years if gaming.

Cheers matey I'm going to be treating myself for Christmas so still a few months away and it'll give me time to sell my current laptop with GTX 680m in it. Possibly will go for a 1070 then and ask if i can have a 1440p screen if only 60Hz a 1070 Will max out that res and refresh rate

Defo the 1070 one for me. G sync will be a shame to miss out on but the 1070 should drive a high enough frame rate over the 980 that it would make up for it.
