Both these models can be had for £600 and the only difference I can see is that one has an analogue receiver and the other digital. is that the only difference? how do i choose between the two? are they otherwise totally identical? whats the point in retailing both at the same price?

someone help me choose please!

i thought the Q321 was more expensive ? or is that a Qxxx different model ?

you can find it for the same price if you look hard enough... thats not the issue though - im trying to work out if one is actuallybetter than the other or is it purely down to one being the analogue/digital difference :o

the claims are that its got a more recent panel. But the reality is that not many people have noticed any discernable difference.

Q321 has DVI whereas the A321 hasn't. Q321 has had some lip sync problems, check out the AV Forums for more information on both.

I bought a A321 and its absolutely amazing with quality HD source material. Shame it had 5 lazy pixels, but sent back for a replacement :)

Thanks Barely Legal - thats some really useful information. I've taken a look at the AV forum but there are 150+ pages to read through on that thread... and people seem to give mixed feedback :o

I read through the entire A321 thread and to be honest, the only thing that put me off was that the original batch were sent out with incorrect spec ( Lack of HDMI input for example ) It appears that the Q321 has inbuilt freeview, the A321 a slightly better panel.

I have to say though, after taking the plunge and grabbing one I haven't looked back, it's a stunning piece of kit.

McBain is that the A321 you bought or the Q321? I'm not sure if builtin freeview will be of use as it'll be plugged into a sky box and i doubt it'd ever be used as a monitor either... so i'd want the best screen/panel(?) for my £600...

Just ordered the A321 *runs around all excited*

/comment: this isnt for me, its a gift for someone else :)

I've had my A321 about a week and its brilliant, looks like it cost double and has every connection you'll need, fantastic picture quality, i can't find a thing wrong with it yet...

if anyone wants any more info or photos, i'd be happy to help as I know i'd have loved more info when i was deciding on which one to get

I own a A321 , hdmi version, latest version, a few weeks old, and its an amazing piece of kit. IDTV versions do have a sync issue, so avoid the Q321 if you can for now.

been looking into these two tele's for a long while now.

does the A321 offer DVI input?
don't particularly want to use VGA on it for the PC.

It would seem all the latest A321 units are dhmi , not DVi. You could use a converter if you feel the need to go DVi interface. Ive tried both and there isnt a lot of difference, but d-sub does pixel mapping, dvi/hdmi overscans a tad.

Here's a few pics I just took - my skills with a camera are no good, pics don't really show off image quality but it gives you an idea :)

right then, here are some, mainly of the image quality. I didn't get chance to get many of the build quality as the batteries ran out on the camera and most of the photos looked really washed out, think the camera is on its way out :p
