I bought Bioshock last week and my current pc couldnt handle it at all everything ran slow and the game was unplayable

So its time for an upgrade.

I currently have a thermaltake kandalf tower and a BFG 800watt psu I will also be using my current sata2 hd`s and dvd writers. I have a 22" wide screen so will need a good graphics card.

I have picked some parts I think will suffice but I was hoping for any advice you may be able to give me.

I need help with a new Mobo, CPU, graphics card and atleast 2g of ddr2 ram.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi,

Spend a few extra £ on some branded RAM with a decent warrenty. Of all the componets I've had fail it's been the RAM most often.

Also I have the Abit FP-IN9, make sure you use the latest BIOS as if fixes most of the overclocking bugs. Still a little tempremental and prone to not rebooting at all it doesn't like the settings. Sometimes I down clock for cooler running and it takes a few attempts to get it to reboot but it does in the end.

Its mainly the motherboard I am unsure about as I want a good solid reliable board that I dont have to mess about with a lot.

I did look at other ram but the ram I had choosen comes with a 1 year warranty
and Is less than half the price of the named stuff that only comes with a 2 year warranty.

But I am open to any suggestions ??

I would like to get 4 GB of ram is possible and that looked like the best option is the ocuk stuff not that good then ??
