Been thinking of upgrading and have a little already "from 2gb to 4gb ram" and a 8800gt that went bang yesterday "RMA in progress which ill be selling afterwards lol"

This is my current spec pc... "BTW nothing is clocked"

E6600 Intel Core2Duo standard fan
Asus P5N-E SLI
Corsair HX 520W ATX2.2
3x sata hdds total 890gb
4x1gb - 4gb OCZ
8800GT "RMA" - Currently 7800GT
Thermaltake VB1000SWS Soprano
cheap crappy sound card
Creative I-TRIGUE 3400
Zboard
Logitech G7 Mouse
19inch Hyundai Monitor
Mircosoft Webcam vx3000

So basicly i wanna upgrade some more and sell the old parts either to have some extra cash back or to buy something for the pc afterwards.

Id say i have about £300 + whatever i sell afterwards

i defo want a new cpu heatsink and some medusa headphones.

what do u think?

I'd say see how far you can get thatE6600, anything from 3.0Ghz should be really fine for the coming months and you should see a real nice improvement.

For the rest you system seems fine to me. Maybe get an Asus Xonar/Creative X-Fi sound card? Or a nice 22"/24" monitor and set your old one as second monitor? Or maybe sell it?

I dunno :))

will my case take a 9800gtx or even a gtx 200 series?

thanks
with 3 hard drives in your case youll have trouble fitting a 9800gtx, the card is 275mm long and in order for it to fit in a soprano case you have to remove the hard drive cage.

thanks m8, so the only way would be to have the hdds in the 5.25" trays? "is there anything to help them stay in place"?

hmmm starting to think the if i buy new fans + trays for the hdds and have to cut the hell outta the case i may aswell buy another case and sell this one or keep as a 2nd build maybe
