Help needed for job application - IT Technician

Hi,

I have just been filling out an application form for a job, finished uni recently and now qualified to do what I have always wanted - IT Technician.

Need some help if anyone can offer it, I need to "Supply additional information to why I am applying for this post".

I have put that I have always liked computers from an early age, done various courses and now qualified and ready to start career - need something else though, doesn't seem enough!

Any ideas?

Why you applying for a technician job if you went to uni? Surely its a bit of a waste of a degree since you could get that job after a-levels?

I could have done, but its easier for me to get a job in this field and also allows me to possibly go into other areas too.

I must have applied for about 10 jobs so far, none of them are interested. Most want 3+ years exp. Its a pain, it will only be that one company that is willing to give me a chance and I will be unstoppable!! I'm going to look out for a lower, junior positions they will be more likely to give me a chance!

My dad suggested using agencies too, as my brother did this when he first started out as a techie. He's now in Australia doing it . I think I will follow your advice, I haven't tried it yet. Where do I go to do this?

To be honest mate, I would be happy with that salary to start and especially as I'm not living on my own. Once I have a couple of years exp I will be happy. Thanks for the advice!
