Hello all,

Im re-doing my network and building a new gaimng i7 rig and decided to redo my server too.

I bought an Icybox IB-555SK and the idea was that my new TJ07 would become the gaming rig, the old nine hundred would become the server and the T/T Xaser could be skipped but the icybox has no groves in it for the supports in the 5.23" bays.

Yes i could just bend them in but to be honest i have hated this case for ages so fancy a change, sound is more a factor with the server than anything else as its used for a file server and nothing more. I was looking at the Coolvermaster ATCS 840 and cosmos 1000 but they also seem to have the drive rail supports.

Does anyone know of a good case with good ventilation that the icybox would just fit into?

Cheers

What I've seen Lian Li seems to leave three 5.25" bay group without those support tabs at least in their in bigger cases.
But file server doesn't even need much space except for HDDs.

Hi thanks for that and yes i know the file server doesnt need a lot of space but it does need good airflow and generally the larger cases are better at that :)

File servers don't need that much cooling, they don't have hot graphics card and neither is CPU stressed in any real way.
Dozen HDDs produces lot less heat than CPU ang graphics card in gaming PC so you've got to have lot more HDDs than "Icyboxfull" to have high heat production.

For big amount of HDDs Lian Li A70 could take 15 with that Icybox.
