Now, I've only had 4 hours sleep in the last 2 days so my brain isn't functioning properly.

I am in the process of putting a second hand mobo and P4 cpu in a case because the mobo/cpu that was in there was getting on a bit and shutting down under any kind of intensive processing.

So, I have removed the old stuff, cleaned all the fans and dust out and put the new motherboard in, put new thermal paste on etc however, I can't seem to get it to power up.

I realised that the PSU that was in there didn't have all of the required connectors. It didn't have the connector labelled A in the below image.

Not a problem, i've put in my old 600w seasonic PSU that does have the connectors but still nothing. I've tried 2 power cables, both of which I know to work. The PSU does work as i've tested that. The only thing I can consider it being are the cables for the power switch etc.

Ive got no manual for the mobo :(

Now, I'm not sure if its me but that doesn't seem to look right with the pin missing top right.

Can anyone confirm if maybe this case/mobo don't work together or where each connector should go? I am so tired I am about to go mad with this :(

Any other suggestions?

sorted it now :)

Turns out it wasn't any of the above. Spoke to the lad next door who gave me the mobo and it was working fine right up until he took it out of his PC, and being the nice generous guy he is decided to clean it off with a hoover, a toothbrush and a dust cloth so I guessed maybe a static death, Turns out he had the exact same mobo sitting around so ive jus replaced it with that one and its all working properly now :D

Thanks anyway :D
