Help needed from Hazro (HZ27WC) users

Hi,

I am in need of some advice from other Hazro users, HZ27WC to be specific.
As much as I love image quality of this monitor it drives me crazy. Till yesterday my computer was running on XFX 5850. Monitor was in standby mode till windows started to load and drivers kicked in, so no chance to get to bios for example.

Yesterday received my upgraded card asus 7970 matrix platinum, hoping this symptom will go away. Now monitor is not getting from standby at all, even when windows starts.

Got a bit tired of problems with ATI and Hazro together, thinking of changing GPU to Gainward GTX 770 phantom 4GB. I know about scaling problem with nvidia on Hazro but aparently this is possible to fix.

Can any Hazro HZ27WC users please let me know what GPU they use and if it is problem free or what kind of problems they have?

Help much appreciated! :)

I have a set of HZ30Wi screens.

So far I haven't been able to get a signal at all from any of the AMD cards I've tested so far (three to my memory). On all the Nvidia cards I've tried the output has been fine. An annoying handicap when choosing a new GPU frankly...

The lack of a POST screen on Hazro monitors is a well known issue, and occurs with a variety of AMD GPUs. Failure to show any output is less well recognised, but unfortunately still quite common.

I hope these screens last a while yet - they cost me enough and ideally I don't want to replace them until OLED is affordable. Still, I wouldn't go Hazro again.

Thank you very much for the reply, this sealed my mind on GTX770 I guess. I've tried 4 ati so far, 3 no POST screens, 1 no POST or any output at all. Only MSI 6k series worked in every way. Got the same hope as you that it will last for next few years as don't see anything in decent price range to replace it.

Well as I am planning on 4GB GTX 770, VRAM shouldn't be an issue comparing to 7970 with 3GB ; )
As I always play in 2560x1440 (when possible) didn't want to risk 2GB. Requirements can change soon and 4GB sounds like a better option. I plan on keeping new GPU for 2-3 years.

Thanks a lot everyone!

Guess OC will have some more of my money tomorrow :D

In case anyone ever have similar dilema. Card arrived today, thanks OC for great service as always! Fits nicelly into case, started up, fingers crossed... yay bios visible! Windows all fine.
I decided to check clock speeds if all working fine... then surprise... 1045MHz core, 1084MHz boosted... thats 10% lower than should be. Turns out there is mistake on OC website : / Will RMA it, not happy with that speed for those money. Only thing is this GPU exchange is costing me around 70GBP in delivery/return charges... Turns out to be pretty expensive card :D

It is Gainward gtx 770 *phantom* 4GB. I pointed phantom as it is a bit missleading, on 2GB phantom is clocked faster but not on 4GB. I don't blame OC at all, was surprised, even on reviews found same mistake. As I play on 2560x1440 and I had last GPU for 3.5 year was planning to do same with new one, thats why I though extra few quid for 4GB version was worth it...

I wouldn't call Royal Mail ninjas :-D
I should be more precise, by this card I mean this season gpu upgrade. Postage 10£ + 17£ return + 10£ next postage + 17£ return + 10£ to get final one hopefully :-D
I know gainward site state proper clock speeds of or their 4gb unit, but I've never checked their website prior to order :-/ going on holiday so will deal with new purchase when I am back and this been refunded. I agree instead of going evga 770 4gb, 780 might be better option.
