Hi all,

A friend suggested overclockers and also the forum so I've just signed up and I have read through some of these pages and I know that there are a lot of people asking for help with specs etc so apologies for having to do the same.

Okay so what I am after is a full gaming system, at the minute I have a desk and a chair but thats about all... I will be playing games such as team fortress 2, fallout, mass effect and bf3. I would like to be able to play these on max settings and I will also be using the machine to store music and movies as well as play them along with standard home pc usage. I wont need an operating system though.

I have a budget of up to £800 and I need to get everything I need inc montior (I would like a 24") and keyboard and mouse. I have been pointed towards the tyton krypt and with the 460 graphics card and the sound card upgrade it comes to aprx £550 leaving me £250 for the other stuff I'll need.

I would like some more options if you could help me. I litterally know nothing so apologies in advance for having to spoon feed me this. I do have a friend who could build a pc for me if it would be a cheaper option or I would get more for my money that way.

Thanks in advance

Hi and welcome:)

1) building yourself does get you better/faster parts for the money.

So if you can build yourself?

Did you need speakers/headset also?

• The motherboard has Z68 features and reviewed very well - http://www.kitguru.net/components/m...-z68ap-d3-z68-review-bargain-buy-of-the-year/

• The stock supplied heatink and the motherboard will see you to 4GHz, with a big aftermarket heatsink you will be looking closer to 4.5GHz

• The Antec PSU has a modular cable design and is Seasonic made, Seasonic are considered one of the best.

• Included very nice keyboard and mouse.

Hey-Thanks for the replies!

If I can get away with the i3 and save some money then thats great. Is there much differance between that and the i5?

Would that 6950 graphics card be able to be twinned up further down the line if required? Seems like a good option to have.

Really appreciate all the help!

If it was just for gaming, to stay under budget with a better GPU surely the i3 would suffice - Totally agree about the i5's potential, but just for gaming?
