Got £1000 to spend on a gaming system (tower only)....

Few things im not fussed about - separate boot and storage drives - just one SSD will do.
Case i'm not too fussed about, doesn't need to be a £100 sparkly shiny one, a £30-£40 one will do fine.
The rest im pretty easy going with. Not sure yet whether ill be gaming at 1080p or 1440p but want the best bang for buck so again, not sure whether it needs to be an Intel or AMD build.

Please help!

what refresh rate is your monitor mate?

CPU wise: Ryzen 5 1600 x is due soon 6c/12t ~£220? (w/ wraith spire)
M/B Prime B350M-A AMD B350 £79.99
Ram : DDR4 16Gb ~£100
GPU : 1070 ~£360 (if only 60hz go for RX 480 ~£170)
SSD : Samsung 850 EVO ~£209
PSU : i highly reccomend EVGA P2 650w (Silent and awesome) ~£110
Case: up to you mate its personal preference.

Total w/ 1070 £1079 + case
Total w/ Rx 480 £889 + case

Rationale;

Ryzen 6c / 12t price to performance.
Prime m/b can overclock well with free CPU fan.
GPU : 144hz monitor price/perf = 1070 60hz rx 480 again price/perf.
SSD : don't buy m.2 there is no observable difference in load times vs m.2 however sansung 850 evo is a market leader in this catagory.
PSU : i just love that PSU (i own one its fan never spins up even under gaming load!!)

Cheers for this mate.

Anyone else any other suggestions for the money? Should say that its probably not a machine that I want to be overclocking.
