Hi all. Not a tech wizz but like my games so bought

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/ocuk-gaming-spectra-gaming-pc-intel-core-i5-9400f-fs-1d7-og.html with the Sapphire graphics card

Recently. Loving the unit with my Dell S2719DGF monitor and its been running like a dream. However today I left it on while I ran to the shops and the monitor is now telling me that it cannot find the HDMI 2.0 from the device but I haven't touched anything! I've tried rebooting PC, taking out power cable on both PC and monitor and starting. Changing HDMI ends, changing HDMI cable. I'm at a loss! Help!!

There's also a blinking orange light on the motherboard underneath the graphics card?

Now there's only a solid orange light and it isn't booting at all. Really disappointed after paying £700 and it have issues after two months. Bang goes my Xmas day!

You can check the power cables are plugged into the motherboard correctly. The orange light is normally a sign that the board is receiving power (+5vSTB) and it awaiting a power up command. There are two main cables the 24-pin ATX near the side of the board, and the 8-pin CPU power near to the top left corner, check these are in their sockets correctly.

The other thing could be something silly like the power button not working, but it is unlikely, if you want to check this you'd need to trace the power cable to the board header, normally with a small 2-pin header on the end labelled PWR SW and the pull that off and short the two pins with something like a flat screw driver etc.

Hi. Thanks for your reply but I do not have the knowledge to carry out your solution. I am not au fait with computer builds hence why I got a pre built unit /:) do not want to mess around as will invalidate my warranty. I guess I will have to wait until Friday until OC are back open :(

Is GPU powering on? Fans spinning, any lights?

Try resetting CMOS (motherboard manual will tell you how). Looks like your mobo has HDMI on it. Have you tried connecting to monitor with that so you're bypassing the GPU? Will rule it out being the GPU or not.

I would advise reading the motherboard manual if you haven't already. Having just had a quick look, page 20 has some useful information which may point you in the right direction (particular points 17 and 19).
