Hi all. new to the site and looks like some good info here.
But now to the question. I upgraded my comp and my son upgraded his so he could use my (inno3D geforce gtx 260 896mb and 192 stream processor) I this there are/were to types of this card. Which i only bought a few months ago.
My son bought from ******, a mainboad bungle which is (as the box states)
Amd reaction quadcore motherboard bungle.

Amd phenom x4 9600 quad
Foxconn a74ml-h motherboard
2 gig ram.

Now plug the graphics card in mime, no problem. But with his therer is no picture. I did contact foxconn and there might be a compatibility problem (they don't know, from there email). Thought they would as foxconn are fairly popular but more so geforce cards.

i have given as much info as i can think of and hope someone can help.

So any thought as to why the card won't work.?

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Does your son's PC work without the GTX 260 installed?

When you put the GTX 260 in your son's PC did you connect the 6 pin power connectors to it?

What make and model of power supply is in your son's PC.

And I couldn't resist:

hi and thanks for the reply. The connector was fitted (both) it has two. And the power supply is 680W XPower Light ATX PSU (again from ******s)

You need to stop mentioning the name of a certain store.

The forum is automatically replacing the name with ****** because you're not allowed to mention or link to competitors of OcUK.

The power supply is a bit so so. It doesn't look like it has any proper power connectors for the graphics card and you have to use molex adapters.

Is there any way you can try your power supply in your son's PC to see if it's a power issue?

Again, just confirm your son's PC works without the GTX 260 otherwise it might be a different problem entirely.

Ok thanks for the heads up. And yep, i put my 1000 watt antec. Still with no pic.
I did put in his comp my gtx 460 which worked fine. Wth his power supply. Jus tno pic with the 260.

When you say no picture with the GTX 260 is the system actually starting and you're not getting a display or is the system not starting?

What type of connection are you using to connect the GTX 260 to the monitor?

Yep the computer starts but with no pic at all. My gtx 470 works fine in his, i put the 260 in mine and works fine. put it back in his again, no pic at all. Seem to be a hardware fault ot just not compatible with his board but i don't understand why, if that's the case.
