Help needed on SGS3 please ...

Okay folks, my beloved SGS3 is knackered due to my pluging it into my PC via a USB cable from which the micro USB end had falled into a melted tub of ice cream  I'm assuming that there was still some form of moisture present and this has now caused my phone to now reject a charge from any power source.
I was wondering if it would be possible to install a stock rom onto my phone from an external SD card so that I could get the phone sent away for repair and hopefully stop me having to pay the hundred or so pounds to have the circuit board replaced.
Is there any way this could be done folks. What about using mobile Odin? Would that help?
If this was possible then I would just buy something that would charged the battery outside of the phone as it has only about 8% charge left on it.
Any advice would be very welcome peeps

It looks as though I'd need to hot air solder the little micro usb charging port onto the phone so replacing that isn't an option :(
I've just ordered an external battery charger from the bay of fleas so at least I'll be able to use my phone once that arrives.
I was wondering though if I installed mobile odin onto my phone if I'd be able to install a stock rom from my external SD card (via mobile Odin) seeing as my pc won't recognise my phone once connected with a usb cable. That is of course if I can install Odin from my external SD card.

Deep joy :(

Just looked on you tube there not like the s2. On The s2 the usb mic and drone other bits are on a separate pcb so you can change them easy.

Im not sure about mobile odin never used it. Xda forum is your best place to ask.

I had a similar issue with my Galaxy Nexus, I used mobile Odin for this exact purpose and it saved my life, download the stock rom files, put them on a Micro SD, and run Odin. Lastly to use ADB over WiFI to flash a stock recovery and lock your bootloader.

Edit: though I think with the S3 you might also want to try and reset the unlock counter on the bootloader as this can be used against you.

Can you not access the external SD card through CWM?

Not anymore reflux as my battery is now completely dead :(

Ahhh, that's made me feel a lot better Reza86. Hopefully all will go well once I get my battery fully charged

This is why I used the toolkit to root. To send mine back to stock all I do is plug the phone in and run a command in the program on my PC :) .

Yeah I can recommend the toolkit but of course it only works if you can get a data connection via USB and the OP doesn't have that.
