My friends laptop connects to the wifi and his pc is connected to the router by a cable. I can't connect using any of my devices wirelessly. I get a message saying windows is unable to connect to bthomehub. I can connect to other networks fine just not his network. Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

Temporarily disable any wireless security on the router and make sure they can then connect. If that works you've just got an encryption problem.
