Argh
following advice to reduce fan noise, i did the following:
So......i did nothing, i was carefull, i didnt short anything etc.
Note, it does this when i change any bios settings like ram voltage, fsb speed, multiplier, even if i UNDERCLOCK it........
its like....... a home built pc designed NOT TO BE BUILT AT HOME....... like it has some security system so only the shop can do it........
so now, no doubt untill after my exams...... i have an extremely quiet pc that doesnt work
last time the shop told me there was nothing at all wrong. he couldnt find a fault, wierd that it didnt work for me but straght away for him. its not like im a noob either, ive been building pc's since 1994!
2 things it could be:
graphics card falls out of slot when tilting it ? as theres no video being sent to the tv when booting up.......???
the tt120 is too heavy and "rips" the cpu out of its socket ??
i cant understand the problem or how to fix it or why it even does it in the first place ?
needless to say im buying an ocuk system next time!
following advice to reduce fan noise, i did the following:
- unscrewed the two thumbscrews at back of antec 900
- took off cover
- placed case extremely gently and slowly on side
- found the 3 fan controllers
- switched them on low
- loud grating noise coming from graphics card fan. great
- Fans went quiet, yay
- system froze oh here we go.
