Hi

I consider myself to have put together a pretty decent system,

But i find myself while gaming noticing that i dont have a steady fps.

I am running 2x Powercolor PCS+ R9 290's in crossfire, Stock Fx8320 3.5ghz, 2x AMD R Series Gaming Ram at 1866, 2x CCL Choice Ram at 1333 (higher modules will down clock to match cheaper sticks).

Ocz Vertex 120 gb ssd.

And various other 1tb hard drives.

75hz Aoc 1080p Monitor.

With this setup i would have assumed a steady 60 on battlefield 4, but no its jumping all over the place, Just got GTA 5 fps indoors is 70 - 90, outside while not driving is 50 - 60 fluctuating,While driving drops as low as 30.

Does this with other supposed high end games aswell, i thought with the crossfire i would have had a significant boost.

Have i done something wrong in my setup, i need some help please.

I would like to just maintain Steady frame rates.

Use GPU-Z to log the temps to a file while running games/benchmarks.

Same for the CPU, check its temps using HWmonitor, coretemp or realtemp (one of them doesnt work with AMD).
