Help needed - rework of the network!!

So, sick of bt cos of theyre stupid indian call centres going through retarded technical process then trying to tell me my broadband has been swapped to narrowband which isnt possible.

So, cancelling that and moving to a new one as of tommorow. Not sure who to use? I can get Be* however where i live the maximum line speed i can get is supposedly 3mb however the router has been connected at 4.5 at one point.

Next step is the network. currently using a wireless belkin which is shocking.

In the network are...

Sony Vaio (New one, with vista ultimate installed)
My rig, with vista ultimate installed and a netgear wg311t wireless card.
Dads rig, xp system with cable connection.
Konica/minolta network attached laser colour printer.

So, i want the BEST wireless adsl/modem router for speed, and reliability.

Anyone point me in the right direction?

for what it's worth i'm with UKSFN....check their office products out. For the connections you have, you'll need the upload speed.

For wireless solutions, i would go for the rangemax routers from netgear. Checkout the 300mb's routers and cards.

why have u been phoing bt anyway? Issues with the line?

I always laugh when people slagg bt call centres, but they also call them for silly things like the connection droppin for 2 mins.


Do what i did with nildram, phone head office and just ask for the head of cs and tell them the problem and they might help.

Head of CS at nildram helped me, and also give me back 3 months charges without me even asking.
