Not sure if I should post this in here or the gaming forums here we go :

I have a Roccat Kone gaming mouse however I'm pretty sure I haven't set it up properly. Most of the time it can feel to fast or inaccurate (jumpy) when gaming. There's so many settings in the driver software I've pretty much left them alone.

One thing that really confuses me is the DPI switcher. I thought the higher the better (it ranges from 800-3200) however at the moment I have it set to 800 because if I increase it the pointer is way to fast as I need only move the mouse the slightest amount and the pointer moves completely from one side of the screen to another. I haven't touched /advanced sensitivity or /Mouse acceleration although I did turn on /TCU but couldn't really see the difference.

I'm using a Goliathus speed Gaming surface and also have a Goliathus control gaming surface.

So basically what I want to know is how to set up a gaming mouse to be quick yet accurate/smooth for gaming.

Thanks

Jase

Well, to counteract the mouse software you could go into Mouse settings in the control panel and turn the sensitivity down.
Never been a fan of mice software.

Higher DPI is NOT better 800 is more than enough even though some people use 2000dpi whiich I think is just plain stupid. It's just a marketing gimic to get people to buy their products like with digital cameras people see 12 million megapixels and they think they have the best camera out there.

Suggest having a read of this about DPI and HZ
