put the coals on the lower black grill i'd assume set them a blaze then wack the meat on the top black grill. There should be a like tray bit below to catch all the ash and dripping fat etc etc. Dont hold me to that though!
We have a homebase BBQ which indicated that the coals should be placed directly in the base of the BBQ. Needless to say the BBQ wouldn't stay alight and the coals were relocated to the black grill above (which the manual said was for cooking).
Really these companies should employ someone to read the instructions of their products and possibly try to follow them.
