Help needed urgently.

Hi guys I need some help, I've a real dilemma.

I'm trying to run a hdmi cable from my pc to my plasma living room tv.

I'm getting no signal and the tv isn't picked up in device manager yet when I leave the end connected into the tv alone and put the pc end into my sky box I get perfect signal.

I've got a spare hdmi cable and have just ran that from the pc to tv and that works perfectly well so that rules out the gpu hdmi port.

Strange hey. Any suggestions on what might be wrong or what I'm doing incorrectly?

This isn't a case of simply swapping the cables over as the one I want to use is chased into the wall

Checked signal from existing HDMI from tv to sky, proving the cable connects to tv - check

Tried a different HDMI cable from pc to tv, proving the GPU - check

Solution - replace dodgy HDMI cable which clearly doesn't like your GPU
