Help Needed: USB keyboard intermittently disconnects then reconnects

Hi, I have an Enermax Aurora USB keyboard, an Abit IP35 Pro motherboard, Enermax galaxy 1KW PSU and running XP home.

My problem is that from time to time the pc makes the USB disconnect noise, the keyboard lights go out and stops working for a second then reconnects. Its not a major problem but it is annoying. Is there some option in XP or in the BIOS that I need to change or if not any other ideas why this happens or how to stop it?

don't think this keyboard is compatible, bought one off the bay. The keyboard lights go on but none of the keys work.
