Help needed WiFi

I am kind of lost on this...

My set up currently consists of the following:

ADSL Box ---> Hardware Router ---> Hardware Wifi

The thing is the Wifi signal is not reaching the opposite end of the house where my PS3 resides. I need something to extend the range of the Wireless network WITHOUT actually connecting the new acess point to the Hardware Router as it is far away.

Any help?

yup, a wireless bridge.

it'll extend your range.

Any suggestions on brands? Does it matter if its a different brand than my Wifi router?

ideally it helps being the same brand.

but generally, it shouldn't matter.

A bridge wouldn't be much good, it's a repeater (or any device that does WDS should do) you need.

Looking at wikipedia seems makes your suggestion sound more correct...

Are there any good repeaters here? Are they expensive?
