Help Needed with 1650

Please help peeps.Ive just bought an abit fatality and stacked it with 2G of PC6400 an E6320 and an asus 1650 silent.Now the problem is the 1650 simply will not start as soon as i try and install the catalyst drivers.I am stuck with the onboard 1200 GPU ...... :( Please help this is a new build and my firs attempt with a Dualie...cheers.
 
There isnt one m8.If I use the onboard graphics it boots into windows fine.If I use my 1650 it goes to a black screen and then resets . Ive read threads on other forums concerning this but I cant find a fiix and Im desperate. :confused:
 
Okay, lets check all the basics.

When you boot up with the X1650, you have the onboard graphics disabled in the BIOS?

Have you cleaned all the integrated graphics drivers off and then installed a fresh set of ATi drivers?

Checked all the settings in the BIOS to make sure everything is as it should be?

Not sure if the X1650 needs additional power, but if it does, is it plugged in?
