Help needed with a VAC banning

My son was almost in tears today because VALVE have banned him from playing online because he as been caught cheating. He told me he did try a cheat out a week or so ago to see what it was like but never used it again.

He's had this account for a couple of years (HL2 Silver package) and this was is first mistake. Can anything be done or will I have to buy a new account for him?

If i have to buy a new account for him whats the cheapest way of doing it? he basicly wants what he had on the silver package.

I believe he's learnt his lesson and won't be doing it again. Don't be too harsh he's only young!

Just checked on steam and it'd gonna cost $79.95+tax :eek:

to get what he had, That's a lot of car washing!

He plays CSS, DODS, CS 1.6 and DOD but you only seem to get the older CS 1.6
and DOD in the top ($79.95) package unless anyone knows different

Can i just say that he's just a kid who got curious and not a serious cheat (if he was he would not have been caught!). Anyway his punishment for this curiosity was to buy a new steam account at a cost of £52 to himself. Needless to say he won't be doing it again.

Thanks for you help guys and btw he's 11 and as been in several clans and would probbably own most of us without cheats!
