Very strange question..I am very new to PC gaming and currently have a gtx 560ti which I am looking to update to a 670. However I know very little about building PCs, but really want to fit the card myself as its the only way I can learn. Plus I really don't want to pay an extra £40 for the shop to do it.
So basically is it quite easy to fit a new card? Is it just a case of slotting it in and booting up the PC?
Any help would be most appreciated, thanks.

Remove drivers.

Remove PSU cables.

Take the card out, there will be a little catch that will just need to be pushed down at the end of the pci-e slot and the card will pop out.

Push the new card in, connect the power cables. Boot, install new drivers. It's very simple, can't really go wrong. :)

Pretty straight forward once you've shut down your comp and unplugged power:

1) Open your case side panel
2) Unscrew screws currently holding down the PCI bracket to your existing card
3) Unplug PCI power connectors going to the graphics card
4) Un-slot your existing card (note that your PCI lanes may have a little lock mechanism which needs you to slightly pull it one way or another to release)
5) Reverse the above steps but with your new card

You can uninstall old drivers via the windows control panel if you desire. But tbh, with nvidia drivers, all i do now is install over the top of the old driver and select custom install, then select clean install. This removes the old driver. Been doing this for ages now and never had an issue.

Yeah like setter said, with nvidia I never remove drivers even when changing generation - never had an issue with just installing the latest over the existing (and I've jumped from GTX 260 > 460 > 680 > 670 SLI).

Yer thats what I was hoping to to tbh. Thanks:)
