I can't remember the name of a game I used to spend many many hours playing on my Commodore 64 years ago...
I was hoping someone on here may remember what the name was...

All I can remember is that it was a racing game and it was only available on a 5.25" flopping disk

(if I remember right you could make your own tracks, but am not 100% sure on this)

Think i just found it..

Racing Destruction Set

Looks like it was released on cassette as well..

Racing Destruction Set was supplied on either floppy disk or two double-sided cassette tapes. Side 1 of the cassette had the game files and sides 2, 3, and 4 had track files. The cassette conversion of this game was done by Ariolasoft.
4 sides ..no thanks :p

Sorry, I am well off topic but Skidmarks on the Amiga was awsome. One of the many games that had me throwing my joystick across the room when I would get smashed by another car and sent completely the wrong way. :D

we used to play it from tape. wait half an hour for it to load then it would crash..

fantastic game though.
