Just purchased a new motherboard an asrock z75 pro and a new Intel ssd. I had an old hd in there with windows and booted with that first with no issues. I then installed Windows 7 on my new ssd and installation was fine as well. I then put the motherboard drivers cd in and the first driver installed and then my pc restarted. After that I have been unable to get past the first bios options screen. For a few try it loaded to the bios screen and wouldn't move from there so I had to manually shut down. Now it won't even power up the keyboard and no signal is going to the monitor now either. Tried turning it off and waiting a while and still same issue no signal to monitor. Helpppp

Tried taking it out for 30 mins put it back in and same problem. No signal to monitor and no power to keyboard and mouse.....really confused as it installed Windows just fine and then this happens. Helpppppp

Try a fresh install with just the SSD installed and remove the HDD then install the lan drivers only from the disk and the rest from their website. Asrock are difficult boards with drivers I have found in the past using 1 myself.

I can't mate as I said no signal to monitor and no power to keyboard or mouse so makes doing anything impossible. Tried unplugging everything including ssd and still same issue.

Can you get into the BIOS?

Try taking the motherboard out the case (put it on a box) with just 1 stick of ram and CPU installed, complete barebones, remove the CMOS battery for 30 minutes again and go from there, there might be a button/jumper to switch your BIOS/refresh it to default settings.

Out the case brings us back to a neutral setup so we can slowly identify a culprit.

Failing that can you test a console/another pc on the Monitor to see if it'll show an image, might also be the cable/monitor at fault.

Ignore that as it's the KB as well, out the case barebones is a good place to start testing.

Well tried that and same issue. Put my old mobo back in and all is working fine so somehow the asrock motherboard died after being used for 1 hour. Won't be buying from them again!

I have had a couple of asrock boards and never a problem, my old m3n78d lasted me 3 years before i upgraded and sold it.. she is still running now...

to be fair, you get the odd dodgy board... its like going to the same chippy for 5 years and then getting 1 bad bag of chips... it happens... doesn't mean the chippy/manufacturer is crap
