Help needed with new monitor setup

Hi All,

I just got a new Dell LCD monitor (U2713H). Its native resolution is 2560x1440 but when I set this in Windows, the text looks all blocky and barely readable.

I'm using Windows 8 and just installed the latest beta of Catalyst Control Centre for my AMD 7700. I also installed the monitor driver from Dell. It goes blocky on anything above 1920x1080.

Any ideas what I can do to fix this?

never mind, fixed the problem... DVI cable wasn't working for some reason but HDMI is good
