I am upgrading my XP3000 system and need to know which M/B and CPU fan to purchase.
My system is built for data storage and i heavily multitask with video & sound and run up to 7 apps at once as well as having constant downloads, uploads, printing, web and the usual background apps.
I have
Case: CoolerMaster Stacker STC-810
psu: Enermax Noisetaker 600W EG701AX-VE
4 x 7200 ide's
1 x 7200 sata
2 x scsi drives (15k ultra 320)
1 x tape backup
all other devices are external powered usb's.
I have purchased a AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 3800+ and also a new PCI-X adaptec scsi 320 controller to go with my scsi drives to replace the slower 160 card i currently have and plan to upgrade to XP 64 Bit. I would like to clock the CPU to a nice stable 2.4 or 2.5 and use the 2 x samsung 512mb pc 3200 sticks of memory i currently have
I need a minimum of 5 pci slots for my:
Scsi controller which will be PCI-X
extra sound card
extra network card
scsi back tape controller card
pci 4 x usb card
I would like to use my current video card which is Nvdia 128mb AGP
I don't play any games at all would prefer to stick with the VIA chipset if at all possible
