I am looking for pair of new tyres and tubes for my bike, mostly commuting and the occasional path which isn't as smooth as a road, but I don't go in mud, dirt, etc.

There is a sticker on the rim which says:
Code:
DB-28 700C
ETRTO 622-19
Alloy 6061-T6

The marking on the tyre says:
Code:
44-622 (700 x 42C - 28 x 1 5/8)

Now the tyre I'm looking at, which I think that's right for me is the Continental Contact Plus Reflective 700c Tyre - here is where I am looking at buying from: https://www.tredz.co.uk/.Continental-Contact-Plus-Reflective-700c-Tyre_103596.htm

However neither the ETRTO or tyre information matches anything shown on the table, towards the bottom of the page, despite a 700x42C being available for sale.

Common sense tells me that the above tyres, in 700x42C, should fit, But with it not being shown in the table, it has thrown me a little. So I'm hoping somebody can just say if the tyres will fit my wheel.

Your 19mm internal rim width should be good for any 700 (or 29er) tyre approx. 25-58mm, providing your bike frame has the clearance for tyres that wide (ideally you want ~5mm+ between tyre edge and frame/fork).

Given you already have a 700x42 tyre on there, replacing it with the Continental 700x42 should be absolutely fine.

Agree 700c x 42 is same as more or less as some tyres come up narrower or wider a bit between brands but if running 42's already wil be set up for wide tyres.

Have a look on Chain reaction cycles/Wiggle have shed loads with info.

This one will be faster as more solid centre https://www.tredz.co.uk/.Continental-Contact-Travel-Wire-Bead-Hybrid-Tyre_203902.htm

This one is better as a folder so lighter bead and better carcass https://www.tredz.co.uk/.Continental-SpeedRide-700c-Folding-Hybrid-Tyre_63476.htm
