Hi first ever post on here and it's a rather unusual problem i've got.

I ordered Forza 3 motorsport Limited edition all seemed well until i tried to use the 2gb memory stick that comes with it.

at first the device wasn't being detected on any computers, tried on mine and a friends. it was being picked up by his PS3 and my xbox though. anyway managed to fix this problem, but...

now the device is showing as "has no media" and is showing up as 0mb.

Looking at the USB device properties i've got this:

Device status: This device is working properly.

in the volume tab:
Disk: Disk 4
Type: Removeable (F:)
Status: No Media
Partition style: Master boot record
capaticy: 0mb
unallocated: 0mb
Reserved: 0mb

Now it looks like it's broken from the information here, but it is working in my mates ps3, we can copy files to it etc and i can view them on my xbox.

so any idea whats wrong. it won't let me format it through windows as it has no media.

I should note that the USB stick is a 2gb sandisk (SDUFDMSF3-2048 BE0906OAQB)

i could really do with a hand on this one as if it's knackered i've got like another week or so untill i can't replace it (28days damaged goods return policy or something) and they will charge me for delivery to return it if i do try and have it replaced and they manage to fix it.

Thanks

bit of a problem update with this one,

turned the computer on today and the device stopped being recognised again and it started reinstalling the driver software. i then got the good old "USB not working properly" message. i went back through comp management and reinstalled the device. now if i try and view whats on it i get an error message talking about an "I/O read error"

is there any way to fix this kind of fault or am i best to send it back. I still can't understand how PS3's Xboxs and now harddrive recorders aren't having any kind of problem detecting it or using it.

other USB sticks work fine and using rear ports make no difference.

i'm going to assume that it's damaged and ask play to replace it.

not looking forward to their customer service, having had problems with them in the past.
